SEVENTY-eight students of SM Sains Seremban (SASER) scored straight As in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, and helped the school retain its reputation as the best in Negri Sembilan.

This is the third consecutive year that SASER has bagged the best residential school tag for SPM in the state.

Some of the students of SM Sains Seremban who did well in their SPM examination, with their certificates.

“Although the official result is not out yet, we are almost certain that SASER will again emerge as the country's top residential school,” said senior assistant Roslie Ahmad.

Former headmaster Mohamad Kamaludin Taib, who had been transferred to another school in Putrajaya on Feb 29, was also at SASER to congratulate the students.

Mohamad Kamaludin said that what was more heartening was the fact that all 233 students scored As for the Modern Math subject.

“It is an excellent achievement as we have maintained this record for the past three years,” he added.

Five students were also invited to Putrajaya to receive their certificates from Education Ministry secretary-general Datuk Alimuddin Mohd Dom.

They were Hisham Hasan, Ahmad Farhan Agusalim, Mohd Zaki Marsoha, Mohd Naim Nor Azemi and Ahmad Nazrin Nadarudin.

Mohamad Kamaludin commended the teachers for the excellent results.

“We used to have Physics Day, Maths Day and Chemistry Day to ensure that students had a good understanding of the topics discussed in class.

“The teachers would conduct special classes and sit with the students to discuss the topics.”

He said workshops were also held on Saturdays for similar reasons.

“We also took the students to Port Dickson as well as other tourists spots as we felt a change in environment would boost the learning process,” he added. – By SARBAN SINGH
